After four months out hot tub developed a crack. The "fix" was to patch and make a rough and ugly spot which is 100 times larger than the crack. Now our basically new hot tub looks horrible. The company thinks this is okay for a practically new hot tub? I hate to see what other cracks develop. We had an old other brand hot tub before and NEVER had cracks. The dealer even said sometimes this happens but didn't say it until after we found a crack.

Finally everyone listened to me! We received a brand new replacement hot tub and everything seems to be going fine. I will do another review in a few months to keep everybody updated.

I did a lot of research before buying s tub. My top priority was reliability. This tub needed service 5 times in the first 2 years. Each time some part had to be replaced.

Spa woudnt heat up, took 2 months and 4 service calls to finally fix it. Poor communication and customer service from caldera. I would not recommend buy a caldera spa.

Installed our brand new Marino October 2013, only to have the heater malfunction and quit working. At least we were able to enjoy the spa for 3 months. Very disapointing. Other friends have a Caldera spa in which the same heater problem happened. Now we are all without a spa. Again, very disapointing.

Took FOREVER to get it & paid three times as much as it’s worth. Then just to realize that they decided to make the hot tub LOOK like it’s got LED lighting in the waterfall feature but guess what? They decided NOT to actually put the lights in. CHEAP!!!

Thank you for your feedback. I can appreciate your frustration with expecting something, and not receiving what was expected. I hope I can clear up any confusion with the LED lighting features with the waterfall. The Vacanza series of Caldera spas does have the Acquarella® Waterfall, which is included in the Marino spa, but does not have the LED lighting. The Acquarella® Waterfall with LED lighting is available in the Utopia and Paradise series of spas. Happy hot tubbing! calderaspas_brand

I've had multiple issues with this spa. I shut it down per the instructions and yet I have issues with restarting the spa. Currently only showing four straight lines. Would not recommend

Having your spa running when you want to use it is a basic requirement. We know that maintaining a wonderful machine like a hot tub can take some getting use to and may require service. That is why we provide an extensive warranty.
The straight lines you are seeing may be from something as simple and needing to clean or replace the filters. To something more like replacing a part. We have owned our spa for almost two years now and my only complaint is with the service of these spas. To preface this, the issue may be with my local service provider and not the manufacture, but buyer beware! Within the first two months the heater died. It took the service company 4 weeks to obtain the part and then another week to install. Here we are two years later and the primary pump has failed and we are again waiting 4 weeks for a part, then another week to schedule the replacement. Any other service industry would be out of business. Imagine waiting 4 weeks for your car at the dealership???

My less than 5 year-old Marino just had to have the top-side control and the electronic circuit board replaced at the same time. Failure of both components at the same time less than 5 years after purchase.
This one repair alone has added 20% to the total cost of owning this hot tub. At this rate of failure the tub will cost 50% more than the purchase price after 12 years of ownership.
My last tub (another brand) lasted 17 years and did not eat me out of house and home.
I cannot understand how both the top-side control and the control board should fail in tandem on a newer tub.
Buyer beware.

my main board as just gone pop, I dread to think how much the repairs will cost, this is on top of a crack on the water seal on one of the pumps 18 months ago for a tub bought in October 2012 ! think twice people

We got this almost 2 years ago and has been nothing but a headache since. Doesn't hold its heat. Set temp and it's always 2-3 degrees cooler and when in hot tub doesn't hold its heat. We had a jet pump go out this last weekend and local dealer came out and fixed it. Know he don't have the pressure we use to with jets. We have fought with dealer for 2 years about the heat issue and he tells us its fine then problem with jets and he says there is nothing wrong with them We have contacted caldera customer service with both issues and they tell us they can't help us. We will be getting rid of it and going with different brand
