I love the Kauai Spa. It fits our needs perfectly and is much more usable that a larger spa we had before. My biggest complaint is the Spa Frog water tratment system. It obviously was not designed for this size spa. Even at it's lowest setting the bromine is way too much. I have to continualy turn the bromine cartrige off completlely to let the bromine level come back down. At a setting of 1 (the lowest) it will climb higher and higher. Other than this one flaw it is the perfect spa. Too bad they didn't design the treatment system to go with the smaller size spa.

This is our first spa and it is sized nice for 2 people,it fits our needs very well. For three to use this spa would take a lot of water volume management because of its depth. But the depth is what makes it ideal for our use. Beside ease of entry, the size makes it possible to install in places where larger spas won't fit.

It was hard to justify the expense at first, but it was well worth it. Small size so lower energy costs and it has great features like the wrist jets! I wish it had a couple of leg jets for the lounge seat like their bigger spas, but it may be asking too much. Anyway, definitely a great purchase! I love spending time outside soaking in my Kauai! It's like a taking a vacation without leaving home.

I just traded in my Kauai spa for a saltwater Kauai. I haveitindoors and the saltwater water technology minimizes chlorine smell I the house. I am happy and my wife is very Happy.

I’m a single user. Love this size spa/ it fits well in my deck. Well made, nice lighting.
A couple of issues:
- my use is moderate at best- 20 min soaks 5x/week. However the salt system doesn’t keep up- I set it pretty low (4) as recommended. But I frequently test low chlorine so have to run it in boost pretty often.
- this tub is lower than most. So the steps are too high. Maybe need only a single step configuration.
- I would enjoy to jets speeds rather than one. A low setting would be an improvement.
Overall I’m happy. The water clarity is great. The spa is a good size. It’s well made.

Our patio limited us to a small size and this tub is perfect. We had larger tub before but my wife and I were only ones too use it so a 3 person is perfect for us. Each seat has deferent jets so it does a great job massaging every muscle. Easy to take care of too.

I have drained my hot tub twice in the six months I have owned it. Each time the jets did not work after the hot tub was filled due to an air lock. The dealer says this happens "sometimes." The solution is to remove the side panel and disconnect the piping to "burp" the line. Removing the side panel was made more complicated when the installer placed the cover lift over the bolt that needs to be removed to remove the side panel. The bolt screws into a brass fitting, which is "anchored" to a thin sheet of plywood. The installer pulled the brass fitting out of the plywood so there is nothing holding in the right side of the side panel. I previously had a Hot Springs Spa for 21 years. I never had a problem with air lock and the side panel was easy to remove.

I loved my tub and the ease of care... until I needed to replace my salt generator. I couldnt find any through my local dealer or Caldera, but eventually found them in-stock online and had to pay $285 for a 3-pack.
I've not calculated the cost of the salt generator vs. normal chemicals, but it's something to consider when planning to have a Salt tub.

I haven't missed a day since it was delivered - and often I am in twice a day. The quality and comfort is amazing, the feeling of relaxation continues for hours after I get out. I am not sure why I waited until I retired to buy one! But I am happy that I have the time to use it whenever I want!

This is my second Kauai hot tub.
My first one lasted about 15 years and the main control panel failed and there was no replacement unit available. I purchased the Kauai because I was very satisfied with the service and comfort of the unit. I am very disappointed with the lift cover with the new unit. It is much more difficult to open and close the cover. After I purchased unit and it was stalled I talked with the salesman. I was advised this design was required by California. I believe this is a very unsatisfactory design and would not have purchased the unit if the floor model has the cover on the unit to demonstrate the lifter.

We are very pleased with our spa but the surface, although durable, is slippery. We had some quality control problems at the beginning but the seller rectified those.

This model is the Perfect Spa when downsizing. This is our 5th spa, second Caldera, and is so far the easiest to maintain. The salt water system is so efficient we hardly use any additional chemicals. The size is easy for getting in and out of as we age. The one and only downside is the single pump and jet action. Takes a lot of effort to determine the right balance of the valves in order to optimize seating for two.
