When the Warranty Ends Watch Out!!!

Our hot tub was great but we had a few problems and a pump was fixed and cover replaced under warranty. The warranty ended a month ago and now the circulation pump has gone three weeks ago and today the heating control board burned up and apparently fried the top control board as well. Total repairs over 1200.00 and counting. The hot tub isn't easy to maintain in Canada as the frog system chemicals are not available at least that is what our dealer tells us but not till after we had it delivered. It is very expensive to operate well over 140 a month in hydro.

We're finally getting rid of the spa. It has been one thing after another. Six months ago we installed a brand new control board - another $400 and it's ON THE BLINK again. Good riddance.

Poor design and quality for 2011 Niagra. Fountain dial control has been repaired and/or replaced on 3 occasions. Lights have been replaced where a third set will be replaced within the next 30 days. Do not believe unit was tested properly before leaving factory. Local dealership has been tasked with this lemon and have been wonderful to correct all matters. If it was not for local dealership, this matter would have been escalated. It's discerning to spend top dollar for aggravation. Yes, a Caldera Spa is a great investment, however quality control needs to be held accountable.

Too much work and no customer support

We are first time hot tub owners so we don’t have a good basis to judge but we have found calderaspas to be very frustrating, so much work and no customer service.
For the price, it has been very disappointing.
I cannot recommend and totally regret our purchase.
Please make sure you thoroughly research beforehand.

My hot tub is a little over 6 years old. And I have had to have 5 leaks repaired so far with a little over 500$ out of pocket, and guess what I now have leak number 6 which will be a Minimum of about $200 out of pocket. I purchased this hot tub because it was supposed to be the best on the market. I have Endorsed it and had three friends purchase hot tubs that were caldera, I can promise you this I will never endorse this hot tub again based on my experience.

This is the second Watkins Brand spa we heave owned in the past 20 years. Our first spa was a Hotspring Vanguard which we loved. We never had any major issues, and service and support was wonderful. We purchased this Tahitian when we moved across town and were excited to stay in the Watkins Family with a different approach to design and therapy. All was going well until the 2 year mark of spa ownership. The tub developed a very noticeable leak out the front side of the tub, and after 3 months of waiting, the tub was shipped to San Diego to be repaired. The tub was off our property for nearly another 8 weeks between travel and repair time before it was returned. All went well for the next 15 months until March 2020, when the tub developed a different leak out the back and sides of the tub base. With Covid-19 lockdown issues, the local dealer was closed and did not come out until early May to inspect and file a warranty claim. It's been nearly 6 months of me trying to get this issue resolved, and after making some initial progress with customer service, everything stopped in mid-June. I keep calling and keep hearing that somebody is working on it, reviewing it, discussing it, etc and will get back to me. That was 10 weeks ago, and I have called twice since then with no follow up or resolution. The customer service folks are very pleasant, and have tried to assist in addressing this issue, but are clearly are limited in the scope of what they can do. In addition, I will have owned this tub for 4 years next month... and its leaked cumulatively for over 1 of those years, and continues to leak a couple of gallons per day. This tub clearly has quality issues, and represents a poor example of the warranty support afforded. If this is the top of the line "Utopia Series".. service should be top of the line as well.

I have had nothing but problems with my speakers from my music system. In fact, each one of my original speakers has bit the dust. So, if you're going to buy a Caldera, I would definitely recommend you to skip the music option.

I have a 2014 Niagra and have had nothing but problems. Bluetooth had never worked right. Constant issues. Hot tub now leaks and spoke to dealer and dealer referred me to manual around drain plug. It’s notleaking around drain plug. Today tried to open over and it was full of water. When I opened cover was so heavy it partially ripped cover lifte of hotubside.

We expect our covers to be usable for 3 to 5 years before needing a replacement, and now that it has become heavy with water it is definitely time to replace.
