I've had my Niagara Spa for about a month now and am truly loving it. A 20 minute soak late at night means a sound and restful sleep!
I would like to see a better user interface/experience for the jet controls though. Their operation is really non-intuitive. Maybe an iPhone app that maps controls to the jets they affect?

This Spa is delightful for comfort.
We bought the blue tooth sound system on the salesman's recommendation at Atlantic Spa's and Billiards in Raleigh, NC. However, one of the speakers failed on the captain's chair immediately and now we've experienced another failure on the same speaker. The service dept recommended I complain to Watkins. I'm not sure why I need to complain. The salesman should.
Also, we experienced a leak which was fixed and attributed to a gasket over-torqued in manufacturing. It seems OK now.

We have enjoyed this tub for many years, what would I change?
-I would make the speakers come with a little finger lift tab, this way when the springs stop working I can manually pull them up.
-I would also have the stereo mount higher so its easier to see the buttons.
-Another minor issue is the valve that controls the waterfall constantly pops off. I would not make it a screw type knob I would make this a handle valve like the other jets have.

I was hopeful when we purchased our Utopia Niagara hot tub but had no idea how happy I would be with it. At the end of a long day at work, the arthritis in my back and knees was killing me. I was limited to the pain relievers I could use. After a nightly soak, I am sleeping better than ever with great pain relief!

We shoped for hottubs for over a year, had an old hot springs without much problems, we decided on the Niagara because of the seating arrangement, no big lounger, good filtration, same parent company as hot springs, so I figured it would be good quality, we weren't disappointed . My only complaint is the location of the jet in the bottom of the tub, very awkward getting in , bad knee and foot problems.

outside cracking issues

anyone else have cracking problems with the wood surround? I live in SD and purchased the Caldera Cantabrai hot tub in Aug. By the end of Sept I started noticing cracks forming all around the hot tub. All the panels were replaced the beginning of Dec and now the cracks are starting again within 3 weeks.....

overall our family enjoys this spa, however, we opted to spend the money for the extra lighting package with waterproof remote. the lights no longer work right after the short warranty expired. this was an expensive add on that i regret but added great value to the spa experience when working.

After initial set-up, spa was shutting itself down and showing flashing Power and Ready lights. Had to shut off power and restart with same reults after 10 minutes. No water through filter with #2 pump. Initially diagnosed as a pressure switch or one-way valve problem. Turns out it was a software proiblem and #2 pump does not circulate through filter by design. All working well now for the past 4 months. Son (11yrs) likes the waterfall and light show. Additional control panel comes in handy. Fits seven kids. Back seats great for adults. An inexpensive low mount coverlift works well. Recommend you hose down, wipe clean and drain before first fill-up. All in all, would buy same make/model again.

We enjoy our Niagara spa, and the quality after 18 months appears very good. The only complaint we have is the location of the jet controls. They are on the opposite side of spa from the seat you are in. More thought should have been put into where the jet controls were located.

The only reason I din't rate the Spa a 5 is the controls can be challenging. Just try changing the lighting sequence, you will be there for a while. Other then that the Spa performance has been excellent. We are very please we chose the Niagara Spa.

On the whole, I am very satisfied with my Caldera Spa and have recommended it to others. In addition, my dealer has been excellent to work with.
The only issue I am disappointed in is the capcity of the heater for a spa of this size. If the exterior temperature is below 20 degrees F, the heater can't keep up with the heat loss and the spa gets cold. My dealer has looked at this to confirm that everything is working correctly and they say it is.

We keep our Niagara at 105. Every winter we see temps around 20 below zero...have never had a problem with the tub maintaining temp. Do you have a good cover? Has any of the insulation been damaged? We have the Stonescape exterior (which is awesome)...don't know if its foam nature adds any more insulation than the wood options??? I'd have the dealer take another look. No excuse. How hot is your tub set? Good luck.

Pieces fall off daily when jets turn on- water is almost always cloudy, and im boosting and using clear blue- alot more issues than we're used to having with our hot tub. We just replaced our Sundance 800 with this and I hands down like my Sundance better.
Only 2 seats jets work at one time- not all seats can be going- which to me is absolutely ridiculous. It's 6-8 person hot tub so those folks should be able to enjoy the jets not just 2 people
Astetics-wise this tub is beautiful, looks great during the day & night- the colors are gorgeous but the up-keep and the constant jet covers falling off, and parts floating in the water, is enough for me to be annoyed vs relaxed each time I go in it

Love the jets. We are relaxed and at peace when we're in the pool. We also appreciate having the water testing service from our dealer. My problems with it are that we have needed to drain and refill at about 2 month intervals. It was very expensive to buy, and it has reeked havoc with my skin.

I paid top dollar to have a Caldera spa because it is supposed to be one of the best. I do love the spa but it has had its challenges. Had to have the repair guy out 7 different times to try to solve stereo issues. This was very upsetting. I feel that if Caldera is going to offer integrated stereo systems they need to match the quality of the system with the quality of the spa. Two other warranty issues besides the stereo but have got all but one issue resolved. If i had to do it again i would tell caldera to keep there stereo system, save cutting the holes in the tub for speakers and ill use my own bose outdoor system that puts the caldera stereo to shame. Would recommend the spa to others with certain warnings.

So many issues with the tub that we had to figure out on our own. Tub came with a blown fuse. Circulation pump was not even connected. The light up logo doesn’t work. The salt water cartridge was missing one of the leads to plug-in. tried calling and left messages, no one has called us back

We have had our spa for 5 year but after year 1 the directional air flow units were all disattatched, including the cover for the filter. Now the heater is broken

This spa is incredibly comfortable and easy to maintain. In the first seven months it has broken twice. It is covered under warranty and has been repaired.

I love the salt water option.
Other than that this is the WORST hot tub we have ever owned. We had this custom built and haven’t even had a full year. Only two speakers work. Some of the jets don’t spin, the filter cover snapped off Relatively early. The hot tub was supposed to be deliver first week last June and didn’t come until July. Then there with issues with the electrical and couldn’t be hooked up properly until end of July. The Bluetooth is spotty as well. All we’ve had for the past year is headaches. I can’t even count the amount of times we have had to empty it for it to be assessed and “repaired”. I would NOT recommend this hot tub to anyone ever! I wish we never upgraded. Our previous hot tub was struck by lightning and it still worked better than this hot tub. Very disappointed with this purchase and the lack of help from the manufacture.
